FEMME FATALE

FINAL LINGERIE COLECTION

The term "femme fatale”, describes an attractive and seductive female figure who uses her charm to manipulate and captivate men. Although it is a controversial topic in feminism, the term "femme fatale" can also be interpreted as a symbol of female empowerment. In this sense, women who embody this figure use their sexuality as a form of power, challenging traditional gender hierarchy structures and claiming agency for themselves. Despite being criticized for its sexist stereotype, in certain contexts, it can be considered a symbol of female resistance. In this project, I decided to use the term "femme fatale" as a symbol of women's empowerment. Rather than portraying the woman as a victim of the male oppressor, I aim to represent her as an independent, individual, and self-confident figure. Although my purpose is not to objectify women and represent them as figures of the male gaze, I chose to create sexy garments as a form of self-expression and personal care, making them feel in control of their own bodies.
